DEAR PARENTS, GUARDIANS, CEDAR PARK FAMILIES AND NEIGHBORS:
First of all, let us say: Thank you! Thank you for your tireless support of your child/children in Cedar Park Elementary. Through school events, sports, after-school activities, volunteering, fundraisers, and everything else that happens in the course of a school year, your commitment to your student does not go unnoticed. We want to remind you that the Cedar Park PTA is also fully committed to your child’s education and we need your support.

WHAT IS THE ANNUAL ENRICHMENT CAMPAIGN?
The Annual Enrichment Campaign is a direct-giving appeal running from September 27 to October 20, 2023, and is THE fundraiser that supports all of the Cedar Park Elementary PTA’s programing.

WHERE WILL MY DOLLARS GO?
The Cedar Park Elementary community values an outstanding education combined with a robust enrichment program. Some of the programs that the Cedar Park PTA financially supports include Expedition and field studies, IDEA Time, and the Art Docent program. The PTA is proud to fully fund these programs for every student at Cedar Park Elementary. In addition, we remain dedicated to supporting our families and community through PTA equity work and community support. We are committed to maintaining and expanding upon these programs and more.

WHY GIVE?
Your participation is an investment in our students’ education and the continued success of Cedar Park Elementary. The funds raised will ensure there are adequate resources to sustain and enhance our school. In addition, your donation to the campaign is 100% tax deductible!

WHAT IS THE GOAL?
Our budgeted goal is to raise $30,000. These funds will support teachers, students, families and all the programs that make our school a special place to learn and grow. Your PTA membership and participation in the Annual Enrichment Campaign will ensure the continued success of these programs and provide engaging experiences accessible to every student. You can also donate without becoming a member. Every donation, large or small, brings us closer to our goal so please contribute what feels right for you.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Making a difference in your child’s education is easy! Scan the QR code or visit www.cedarparkpta.org to make your contribution and become a PTA member today! You can also mail a check directly to the school. Please note “PTA Enrichment Campaign” on the outside of your envelope and include your email address for a tax receipt (please make checks payable to Cedar Park PTA). Many companies offer matching gifts; we encourage you to check with your company to see if they offer corporate matching. If you value Cedar Park Elementary, please share this campaign with others who feel the same!

THANK YOU!
We are grateful to have you as a valued member of our community. Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Cedar Park Families,

We are thrilled to have you as a part of our school community and we hope that you have been settling into school life this fall. With lots of new faces in and around the school and playground, we wanted to reach out to tell you a bit about the PTA and our role. Our mission is simple: to serve children in our community through the support of students, families, teachers, and staff. Here’s a bit about how we do that, and why we hope you’ll join in support of our mission:

You are interested in forging new friendships and building community. We gather throughout the year around various activities, like Dine Outs, our annual MidWinter Festival, or even casual meet-ups at the playground—even our PTA meetings are informal affairs! While we venture into our third year of figuring out how we can best connect with one another, we are still brainstorming creative ways for us to come together, like online Bingo Nights and Dance Parties.

You are eager to learn and grow as parents and educators. Our PTA helps families be more involved in their child’s education by keeping them informed and engaged. We organize parent education events on topics such as social/emotional learning and digital citizenship, and are actively committed to creating a more equitable and just system of education and community for all. We work alongside families to learn what is needed, and respond with tools, resources, and encouragement.

You want to inform and influence our PTA and school. Our members are key decision makers, approving PTA budgets and electing leaders. Members can also participate in school-wide planning and governance, representing family interests via Cedar Park school’s leadership team, special design teams, or sharing feedback.

You’ve got time, skills or ideas but don’t know how to plug in. We can help match up your skills and interests with needs for academic support, classroom projects, or new programs. Got ideas? We’re eager to help figure out how to make your idea a reality.

You want to participate but life is complicated. We get it! Our PTA does not require members to volunteer, donate money, or even bake cookies. Those things will come up throughout the year, but don’t sweat it if you can’t swing it. Our PTA is not about what you can do for us, but what we can do for YOU!

We welcome your ideas and look forward to working together to enrich the lives of all of the children at our school and in our community. Please join us on this exciting adventure!
